Organiser's Description
We are excited to host our first Charity Run/Walk - for the purpose of raising cancer awareness within the South Asian community. Organized by DesiNext, in partnership with The Association of Indians in America (AIA), Indian American Forum, Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation, and The Arya Samaj, we invite you to put on your sneakers for a 5K run, or a walk at your leisure, while raising money for cancer charity! We will also be having a bone marrow registry drive, a critical need in our community. For runners, bibs with RF timing will be provided.
This charity event is led by an inspirational group of high school students driven to help others. Registrants can create Individual fundraising teams and raise money to support their run. Please visit the website for more information. Those that raise the most money will be given prizes. Students looking to volunteer and collect hours please email/contact us, and/or visit the website.
If you are not running, please join us anyways! We hope to have a festive picnic setup with snacks, games, and other surprises!
