Get ready for a spooktacular time at the Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in beautiful Sebastian, Indian River County! This thrilling event is not just about racing; it's a chance to support our local First Responders who face challenging situations every day. Participants will enjoy a fun 5K race, complete with a unique Haunted Rail Trail experience, all while helping fund essential counseling services and peer-support programs for our brave Police, Sheriff, Fire, and EMS personnel.
Each race participant will receive a limited-edition Sebastian Scream 5K T-shirt and a ticket to the Haunted Rail Trail (note that it may be too intense for young children). Don't forget to come in costume for a chance to win the award for best outfit! The festivities kick off at 4:30 PM with a Halloween movie at the North County Aquatic Center, followed by a family-friendly Trunk-or-Treat event. The race starts at 5 PM, winding through scenic routes before returning to the Aquatic Center for awards and the opening of the Haunted Rail Trail at 7 PM. Join us for a day filled with excitement, community spirit, and Halloween fun!

Indian River County First Responders are excited to present the _SEBASTIAN SCREAM 5K & HAUNTED RAIL TRAIL. _
WHY IT MATTERS: First Responders face intense challenges on the job every day. Proceeds from this event will directly support counseling services, peer-support programs, and critical stress debriefing initiatives for our local Police, Sheriff, Fire and EMS personnel.
RACE INFORMATION:
* Each race participant will receive a Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail T-shirt while supplies last. Register by October 6th for a guaranteed shirt.
* Each race participant will receive (1) ticket to the Haunted Rail Trail (Haunted Trail may be too intense for young children)
* Award for best costume.
* The Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department will start showing a Halloween movie on the big screen at the pool beginning at 4:30pm.
* Join us after the race at the North County Aquatic Center while the Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department hosts TRUNK-OR-TREAT.
