Every step, every stride, every smile gets painted in purples, oranges, turquoise, and every shade in between. By the end, youre not just a runneryoure a masterpiece of living color!
PURPOSE OF EVENT:
Shepherds for Sheepdogs is a 501(c)3 located in Lenoir, NC whose purpose is to purchase professionally trained service dogs for disabled veterans and first responders! 100% of the proceeds goes to the dog and hero pair! We'd be honored to have you celebrating our FIFTH YEAR with us. Join us and the City of Lenoir Parks and Rec as we continue to 'serve those who served'.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Get ready to walk, run, or race all while getting blasted with color in this vibrant event. This fresh splash of family and dog fun will will take place on the City of Lenoir Greenway. The race will start and finish at the Lenoir Rotary Soccer Complex parking lot. Both races will begin with a color party, the Pup Run course will have an additional 2 color points and the Big Dawg will have 4.
All race registrants will receive: a white Sgt. Ruff T-shirt to wear in the event as well as a bandana, a pair of sunglasses, and an individual color bomb. All finishers will receive a custom dog tag medal!
VIP BIG DAWG TICKET: includes 2 additional individual color bombs, a S4S Sticker Pack and a BRAND NEW, SPECIAL EDITION, LIMITED-TIME Sgt. Ruff T-shirt! ($9 dollar savings). Available for Big Dawg ONLY.
NEW THIS YEAR - THE FAMILY TICKET! Save some bucks while making fur-ever memories with the kiddos! Available to families of 4 with all the regular race included swag for either the Big Dawg or the Pup Run (not eligible for VIP). Eligibility requires participants living at the same address, Please.

T-SHIRT DEADLINE : NOVEMBER 1ST is the deadline to receive shirts for both regular and VIP tickets in desired sizes. A limited amount of white run Shepherds for Sheepdogs shirts will be available day-of, but not guaranteed sizes. A limited amount of the newly designed Sgt. Ruff shirts will be available for sale at the event.
Registration will CLOSE Wednesday, Nov 4th at 11:59pm and RE-OPEN on race day, Saturday, Nov 7th CASH ONLY!
AWARDS: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd OVERALL for both men and women
AGE GROUP AWARDS FOR BOTH MALE AND FEMALE GROUPS:
1st, 2nd, 3rd winners will receive custom dog tags in age groups: 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
NO COLOR RUNNERS - PLEASE BE ADVISED, if you wish to participate but avoid the mess, our volunteers will do their absolute best to keep you clean, please be prepared to follow all recommended strategies available at the registration table. But as this is an out and back event, and the greenway is fairly narrow, it is possible you will be crossing paths with runners _who do_ want color. _AVOIDING COLOR IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. _
* This is a Doggo-friendly event! Your furry friend is welcomed with open paws but must remain leashed
* The more color the better! Your tutus, inflatable t-rex costumes, and neon knee socks are not only encouraged but _double-dogged-dared!_
* Extra color bombs and race swag will be available for purchase al la carte
