This uplifting event honors the memory of Shaylyn Anela Pinoliar and supports the vital mission of Spreading Help Around You, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families in need. Participants will have the opportunity to run or walk a scenic 5K course, with awards for top finishers in various age groups and special recognition for the first 100 registrants who will receive a custom finisher's medal.
Whether you’re running solo or joining as part of a team, everyone is welcome, including children 10 and under who can take advantage of a special registration rate. The excitement kicks off with late packet pickup on Friday, November 27, followed by race day activities starting at 8:00 AM at La Vina Middle School. Organiser's Description
Spreading Help Around You is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2014 in honor of Shaylyn Anela Pinoliar, who tragically passed away on November 14, 2012. Our mission is to help and support families who have lost a loved one, educate them on the importance of being prepared during such a time of loss, and provide active service to the community. As well as promoting Pedestrian Safety Awareness. This year, we proudly launched the SHAY Scholarship Program, marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to supporting education and empowering future leaders.
Each year, since Shaylyns passing, family, friends, and community members gather to honor her memory with an Annual 5k Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning. Last year, we moved the event to Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was a great success, and we look forward to continuing the tradition this year to honor her memory.
Run or Walk a 5K and receive an Event Shirt and a Custom Finisher's Medal.
