Join us for the 6th Annual Sophie's Steps event on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Lukens Park in Horsham, Montgomery! This uplifting charity run and walk event encourages participants of all ages to come together in support of children battling pediatric cancers and their families. Starting at 9 AM and running until 1 PM, you can participate in a non-competitive 3-mile walk or run, with in-person registration beginning at 8 AM.
Can’t make it to Horsham? No worries! You can still be part of this wonderful event by walking or running in your neighborhood at any time throughout the day. Capture your experience and share your distances and times with the community using popular fitness apps. All participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt, water, and lite snacks, and everyone will be entered into a raffle for exciting prizes! Plus, there’s an extra prize for the participant who walks or runs the greatest distance on the event day. Your involvement in Sophie's Steps not only promotes health and wellness but also directly supports families in need. Together, let’s make a difference and honor the memory of Sophie Malaviya!

Silken Twine is a non-profit foundation dedicated to helping pediatric cancer patients and their families. With our support, over 250 families have received financial assistance for non-medical expenses, such as groceries and transportation. Additionally, we award a $1000 college scholarship to two accomplished and brave young cancer survivors every year.
"Sophie's Steps" holds a special place in our hearts, as it is named after our beloved Sophie Malaviya, who fought pediatric cancer for ten years before passing away in 2017. At Silken Twine, we firmly believe that the families of pediatric cancer patients should focus on their loved ones' recovery without worrying about financial burdens. By participating in Sophie's Steps and purchasing tickets, you are contributing to this noble cause. Your support allows us to continue making a positive impact and assisting even more families during these challenging times. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those battling pediatric cancer.

Sophies Steps 2025 will be held at Lukens Park in Horsham, PA on September 29th from 9 am to 1 pm. In-person registration will begin at 8 am. Can't make it to the event? No worries! You can still participate by taking a walk or run anytime during the day, whether it's around your home or in your neighborhood. Capture the moment with some pictures and share them on the race website. Feel free to share your distances and times as a screenshot using apps like Strava or Map My Run. All participants will be automatically included in a raffle to win a prize! An additional prize will be awarded to the participant who walks/runs the greatest distance on the event day and uploads their route onto the event photos. All participants will be provided with a complimentary t-shirt as well as water and lite snacks.
