The in-person walk kicks off on October 19th at the Pavilion on the Village Green, starting with registration at 8:30 am and featuring a fun fitness warmup before embarking on a scenic 5k route that takes you along the beautiful Waterfront Boardwalk.
For those who prefer a more flexible option, the virtual event allows you to participate anytime, anywhere throughout the entire month of October. Whether you choose to jog, run, dance, bike, or practice yoga, there are endless ways to show your support. Don’t forget to wear your pink and share your journey on social media! Early registration begins on September 1, 2024, with a modest fee of $35. Every participant will receive a commemorative medal, race bib, and finisher certificate. Let’s come together to raise awareness and make a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer!

WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL EVENT?
* A Virtual Event can be _ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE_ and takes place the entire month of October 1-31, 2024
* It can be done in your neighborhood, at your favorite local trail or park, at your office during quick lunch breaks, or wherever you feel safe and motivated to complete your event
* Some examples of virtual participation include jogging, running, dancing, skating, biking, paddle boarding, yoga, Tai Chi, etc.
* To complete this event you must do _ANYTHING PHYSICAL, ANYWHERE,_ and complete the activity _ANYTIME_ during October
* One person can participate by doing multiple activities
* SHOW US YOUR PINK during your Virtual and In-person walks by uploading them to social media and tagging our Sisters at Heart [https://www.facebook.com/20sistersatheartsomd07/] Facebook page
WHAT IS THE IN-PERSON WALK?
* This In-Person walk features a gathering of friends and family walking together to bring awareness to breast cancer
* The walk will begin on October 19th at the Pavillion on the Village Green
* The in-person walk registration starts at 8:30 am on the 19th
* Following a fitness warmup, the walk will begin on the Village Green, then proceed to the Waterfront Boardwalk, and will end back at the Village Green
* This is a 5k race and there will be a rescue team on site in case of emergency
**Early registration starts September 1, 2024. Registration fee is $35 / person whether you participate virtually or in person**
There is_ NO EXCUSE _NOT TO PARTICIPATE WITH US VIRTUALLY OR IN PERSON to support the men and women in our lives who are affected by breast cancer in the Southern Maryland Tri-County area.

CLOSEDPlease Join survivors, family, friends and volunteers as they gather together at the Indian Head Village Green to start their walk along the Indian Head Waterfront Boardwalk. At the end of the walk, visit our vendors, enjoy music, activites and purchase tickets for raffle baskets for the cause. Our Fitness Walk is supporting men and women who are affected by breast cancer. Deck out in your best pink outfit. Share your photos to your social media, our Facebook page and our Run Sign Up site! The Walk will be held RAIN OR SHINE . Please check the weather as the morning that day might be chilly, so don't forget bring a jacket... -
