Join us for the exhilarating Snowbowl 15K on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, set in the stunning landscape of Missoula, Montana. This beautiful loop course begins and ends at the Snowbowl base area, offering runners an unforgettable experience as they tackle a challenging 9.3-mile route. The race features a 4.65-mile climb on a mix of dirt and double track roads, leading participants to the summit of Grizzly Chair, where they can refuel at the course's only aid station. After the climb, enjoy a thrilling 4.65-mile descent down the picturesque Beargrass Highway single track, providing breathtaking views of the Missoula Valley and Rattlesnake Mountains.
Runners can look forward to a well-marked course, chip timing, a custom race bib, and a stylish Snowbowl 15K trucker hat. After crossing the finish line, participants can relish a delicious post-race lunch catered by Snowbowl and enjoy a refreshing Big Sky Brewing beer or sparkling water. Organiser's Description
The beautiful loop course will start and finish in the Snowbowl base area. The 9.3 mile course will climb for 4.65 miles on a mixture of dirt and double track roads. You will reach the top of the climb, and the only aid station on the course, at the top of Grizzly Chair. From there you will enjoy a beautiful 4.65 mile descent down the popular stretch of single track in the ski area, known as Beargrass Highway. This trail will bring you all the way back to the base area and finish line. There is 2,150 ft of climbing in the race and 2,150 ft of flowy single track descending.

Bring the whole family for the race and stay for the zipline and huckleberries! All summer long the Montana Snowbowl operates zipline tours that criss-cross the resort. Now you can take a post-race ride and enjoy a birds eye view of terrain you covered by foot.
