***8/4/2026 SMOKE UPDATE: WE ARE CURRENTLY MONITORING THE AIR QUALITY AT SNOWBOWL. THIS RACE IS CURRENTLY STILL ON. OUR THRESHOLD FOR RACE CANCELLATION IS AN AQI OF 200. RACE CANCELLATION IS POSSIBLE STARTING 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE RACE IF THE FORECAST CONSISTENTLY CALLS FOR AN AQI WELL ABOVE 200 ON RACE MORNING. A FINAL CALL WILL BE MADE BEFORE 6:00AM ON RACE MORNING. IF THE RACE IS CANCELLED, WE WILL POST ON THE RACE WEBSITE AND RUNSIGNUP, SEND AN EMAIL TO PARTICIPANTS VIA RUNSIGNUP, AND POST ON INSTAGRAM. IF THERE IS NO POST/EMAIL, THE RACE IS STILL ON. IF THE RACE IS CANCELLED, ALL REGISTRATIONS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE DEFERRED TO THE 2027 RACE, BUT NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED.***



The beautiful loop course will start and finish in the Snowbowl base area. The 9.3 mile course will climb for 4.65 miles on a mixture of dirt and double track roads. You will reach the top of the climb, and the only aid station on the course, at the top of Grizzly Chair. From there you will enjoy a beautiful 4.65 mile descent down the popular stretch of single track in the ski area, known as Beargrass Highway. This trail will bring you all the way back to the base area and finish line. There is 2,150 ft of climbing in the race and 2,150 ft of flowy single track descending.

* 10:00am-12pm: Post Race Lunch in Base Area catered by Snowbowl
* 11 Awards Ceremony
* 12 Course Closed



LOCATION:

The Snowbowl 15k takes place at the Montana Snowbowl. The start/finish line is right next to the lodge.
