By taking part in the 5K, you will not only celebrate Chris's love for running but also contribute to a noble cause. All proceeds will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports the families of fallen and catastrophically injured military personnel and first responders, as well as the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation, dedicated to building a memorial on the National Mall to honor our heroes. STAFF SERGEANT CHRISTOPHER SLUTMAN WAS NOT ONLY A LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, SON AND BROTHER BUT HE WAS ALSO A FDNY FIREFIGHTER.
SADLY, WHILE SERVING IN THE MARINES, HE WAS KILLED BY A ROADSIDE BOMB IN AFGHANISTAN.
CHRIS WAS AN AVID RUNNER WITH HIS WIFE SHANNON. JOIN US IN HONORING THIS AMERICAN HERO BY RUNNING OR WALKING IN HIS HONOR.
