This vibrant community event invites participants of all ages to either run or walk in support of a great cause, with proceeds benefitting improvements to the historic Vernon Gym. Choose between the exhilarating 5K Run & Walk, which winds through the scenic landscapes of Vernon and along the beautiful Muscatatuck River, or take part in the delightful Tea Time 1-Miler that meanders through the serene Vernon Cemetery. It’s an event for everyone, with free registration for kids aged 5 and under (accompanied by an adult) and a fantastic 50% discount for participants aged 6-17! Join us for a day of fitness, community spirit, and fun while making a positive impact on local history!
Organiser's Description
Run or walk a Jennings County tradition with a spring in your step! The Jennings County Running Club is teaming up with the Jennings County Historical Society and Friends of Historic Vernon to bring you the Spring Tonic 5K Run & Walk and the Tea Time 1-Miler. Proceeds will go towards Vernon Gym building improvements!
The 5K will start and end at the Vernon Gym and include a scenic run through the Town of Vernon and the countryside along the Muscatatuck River. The 1-Miler will take participants through the Vernon Cemetery. We will have access to restrooms at the start area! Participants 5 & under can register for free (must be accompanied by an adult) and participants ages 6-17 can register for 50% off!
