Organiser's Description
The race will be run partly on streets and partly on a paved bike trail. All participants will receive an award, to be determined, with the race info. We will have Overall and Age Group awards. Entry fee is $20. For an additional $10, get a T-shirt (your choice of cotton or Dri-Fit) with the race logo and info imprinted on it. You must be registered by noon on Monday, March 31st to order a T-shirt. Club members and under 18 get $2 discount. Race day registration will be available.
The walk is 1.5 miles and strollers are welcome. The Manteno Legion motorcycle riders will escort/lead runners through part of the course and offer a "battle cart" to assist any runners along the way. The Manteno American Legion will provide restrooms and food can be purchased during the event at the legion. Registration and awards ceremony will be in the outdoor seating area of the Legion known as the Hangar.
The Manteno Boy Scout or Girl Scout Troop will be posting Colors just before the race. We will have items which were donated by local businesses, to be given away in drawings to runners, walkers and volunteers.
