Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park

Join us on Sunday, March 10, for the Sri Chinmoy 5K 7-Mile race in Prospect Park, featuring a scenic loop course along Park Drive.  9 AM start for both races.
Sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Dept.

Bag check, aid stations every mile, custom race shirt*, free finisher photos, custom finisher medal, and fresh hot pancakes!
THE COURSE:
A scenic loop (with some hills), traveling counterclockwise on the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, through forest and meadow. Starting just North of the Lincoln Rd. Lawns, continuing through Battle pass, past Nellie’s Lawn, down Long Meadow, past Lookout Hill, alongside Prospect Park Lake, and finishing at Harry’s Wall. 5K is just short of one complete loop of the park, the 7-Miler is two loops, and includes a short out-and-back section along Center Drive on the second loop.

Under 50: Top 750-59: Top 360-69: Top 270 and over: First place

POST-RACE PANCAKE BREAKFAST!
Hot pancakes are even more enjoyable when they’re earned, and we’re cooking them up fresh for everyone on race day!  Toppings:  REAL maple syrup, whip cream, and more!
RACE SHIRTS:
*Free race shirts are guaranteed for all participants registered by February 25.Sizes are Unisex X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2XLFor participants registered after that date, remaining shirts will be available after the race on a first-come first-serve basis.
TIME LIMITS:
5K: 1 hour (20 min/mile pace)7-Mile: 1hr, 45 min (15 min/mile pace)

5K: 13 up7-Mile: 15 up

Same price for 5K 7-mile$25 through Feb. 11$30 through Feb. 29$35 through Mar. 8, 5PM (registration close)
No race-day registration.  Entries cannot be transferred to another person.
RACE PACKETS
Choose Packet Shipping when registering ($6.45), to avoid the lines on race day and have your race shirt and bib delivered to your door before the race. Option available to US addresses only, through Feb. 28.  Packets will ship out en masse on Mar. 2.Otherwise, packet pickup is available at the race site from 7:45-8:45AM.
EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY
We live in uncertain times.  If we are forced to cancel this event owing to circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to:
New or modified COVID-19 regulations/restrictions imposed by park officials or city or state governments;Unsafe conditions in the park, such as excessive snow or ice on the roadways, or other weather related conditions;the event will be converted to a virtual one.  Registered participants will still receive race giveaways and finisher medals in the mail upon completion of the virtual race, and trophies will be mailed to winners as per the awards breakdown above.
DIRECTIONS:
Prospect Park is a big park with many entrances, please familiarize yourself with the map and directions on our race webpage before race day, we don’t want you to get lost!
RESULTS:
