ST. ANDREW THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC SCHOOL is excited to hold its 17th Annual 10K, 5K on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20. Our event began in 2008 and continues to be a community-building fundraiser to help the PTO enhance student academic and social experiences.
Register to run with us at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (6720-B Union Mill, Clifton, VA 20124).
The STAA 10K/5K USATF certified course is a perfect fall marathon tune up race or a chance to challenge yourself and friends/family. The out and back course features minimal turns and long straightaways to build a great running rhythm and conquer some rolling hills. The asphalt course is in great condition for even footfalls so you can focus on the competition and scenery and not worry about any uneven road surfaces or debris. Enjoy the quiet and mostly tree lined course through the majestic Balmoral Greens neighborhood. After a reasonable left - right turn combination to get out of the St. Andrew the Apostle School parking lot, open up your stride on the 2.3-mile straightaway on Balmoral Greens Ave. before your next turn onto Balmoral Forest Rd. The 5K turnaround is approximately 1.4 miles down this first road.
The 10K turnaround is approx. 0.6 miles down Balmoral Forest Rd. On the 10K course, challenge yourself and your friends for the KOM (King of the Mountain) title on a uniquely challenging segment of the Balmoral Green Ave. straightaway. Bring your friends and family, enjoy a great fall run and the post-race atmosphere.
Cheer on the kids in the Fun Run, which will start on the school athletic field at 9:15. Kids will enjoy a themed (approx.) 1-mile, untimed fun run with 4 laps around the athletic field and 2 color splashing stations per lap.

REGISTRATION FEES:
5K: $30 through August 1,$35 August 2 through September 1, $40 September 2 through Race Day
10K: $40 through August 1, $45 August 2 through September 1, $50 September 2 through Race Day
Fun Run: $22 through August 1, $24 August 2 through September 1, $26 September 2 through Race Day
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN THROUGH RACE MORNING AT 7:30 AM. ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST REGISTER ONLINE.
Registration will be available on race day, but will require cash or check payment
AWARDS: The top 3 overall male and female 5K and 10K finishers will receive an award. Top 2 in each age category for the 5K and 10K, 13 & under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over will also receive an award.
Additionally, there will be a $50 cash award for a course record (based on gun time), men and women's 5K & 10K and male and female Masters (40+) 5K & 10K.^A
