Get ready for a day of fun and fitness at the 10th Annual Commit to Get Fit Challenge in Lewiston, Androscoggin, on Sunday, October 15th, 2023! This exciting event features a 5K walk/run, a Harvest Walk, and a Kids Obstacle Course, ensuring that there's something for everyone. Kick off your morning with a delicious hot oatmeal bar, then cheer on the little ones aged 0-12 as they tackle the obstacle course starting at 8:30 AM. The main 5K event follows at 9:00 AM, perfect for both runners and walkers of all ages. Don't forget to bring your strollers and leashed dogs along for the fun!
After the races, join in on the Harvest Walk between 10:00 and 11:30 AM. Participants will receive a tote bag, recipe, and Harvest passport at the Simard Payne Memorial Park registration table. The walk takes you through a scenic route, with a chance to collect soup ingredients and stamp your passport at the Nutrition Center Open House. START YOUR DAY AT THE HOT OATMEAL BAR! THEN CHEER ON THE WEE ONES (AGES 0-12) PARTICIPATING IN THE OBSTACLE COURSE STARTING AT 8:30 A.M. FOLLOW IT WITH RUNNING OR WALKING THE 5K ROUTE AT 9:00 A.M. Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome!
THEN EMBARK ON THE HARVEST WALK BETWEEN 10:00 AND 11:30 A.M.! Get your tote bag, recipe, and Harvest passport at the Simard Payne Memorial Park registration table.
