Join us for the Stepping It Up for Veterans 5K on Sunday, November 12, 2023, in the charming city of Albemarle, Stanly! This exciting timed Fun Run/Walk, sponsored by VFW Post 2908 Auxiliary, promises a vibrant day filled with community spirit and support for our veterans. The race will kick off from the Post Home at 119 Anderson Road and will take participants through the scenic, tree-lined Anderson Heights area, concluding back at the Post Home.
Whether you're a competitive runner or prefer a leisurely stroll, this event is perfect for everyone. Registration is just $30, which includes a commemorative t-shirt if you sign up by October 31, 2023. Plus, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the NC Veteran Farm in Carthage, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping military members transition to civilian life through farming education. This is timed 5K Fun Run/Walk sponsored by VFW Post 2908 Auxiliary.. A portion of the proceeds will support NC Veteran Farm in Carthage, a non-profit organization that teaches military members transitioning to civilian life the ins and outs of farming.
This timed 5K Fun Run/Walk will leave from the Post Home at 119 Anderson Road, Albemarle and meander through the beautiful tree-lined Anderson Heights area of Albemarle, NC and ending back at the Post Home.
Registration fee is $30 and includes a Stepping It Up for Veterans t-shirt commemorating the event on race day if pre-registered by 10/31/2023. REGISTRATIONS AFTER 11/09/2023 ARE NOT GUARANTEED A COMMEMORATIVE T-SHIRT AT EVENT, BUT WILL BE PROVIDED ONE AS LONG AS SUPPLIES LAST. WE WILL MAIL ANY SHIRTS AFTER 11/10 Don't want to be timed....no worries. Come out and support NC Veteran Farm by walking at your leisure.
