Kicking off the Oak Harbor Music Festival weekend, this vibrant event takes place at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, Washington, and promises excitement for the whole family. Participants can choose between the lively 5K course along the sparkling waterfront or the new Baby Steps 1/2 mile route, designed especially for our youngest rock stars and their families.
Starting at 9:00 am, everyone is encouraged to dress up in their best rock star attire and join in the fun—whether it’s strolling, running, skipping, or dancing across the finish line. With activities for kids, face painting, and plenty of snacks and refreshments at the finish, this non-competitive event celebrates everyone who joins in! Don't forget to bring new or opened packs of diapers for the Rockstar Diaper Drive, helping families in need while making a difference in the community. Join us for a day filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit—where every step you take helps support infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays!

Take Steps Together with us on Saturday, September 5th, 2026 at 9:00 am for the third annual Steps ROCK n ROLL STROLL to support families caring for infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays.
NEW THIS YEAR BABY STEPS 1/2 MILE ROUTE!
Were excited to introduce a FREE BABY STEPS 1/2 MILE ROUTE, perfect for our youngest participants and their families. Strollers, tiny sneakers, and wobbly walkers are all welcome! You are invited to bring the whole family to join the fun and dress up as your favorite rock star! We want to see it all: leather, lace, bandanas, giggles, smiles, tutus, crowns, big hair, glitter, and cheers! We encourage strolling, walking, running, skipping, hopping, and especially dancing your way across the finish line.
Our day begins at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, WA on Whidbey Island. The 5K course follows the sparkling waterfront out to Catalina Park at the Marina and back to Windjammer Park.

All pre-registered 5K participants will receive a free t-shirt. We cannot guarantee t-shirt sizes for registrations after August 21st, 2026.

This is the perfect time for Rock Star photos! Strollers, tricycles, sea turtles, and fur babies are permitted on the course. Please act responsibly and clean up after your pets.
This is a non-competitive event, with everyone moving at their own pace and all finishers celebrated equally.

TAKING STEPS TOGETHER FOR 40+ YEARS
All ROCK n ROLL STROLL proceeds benefit Steps, a non-profit organization providing in-home early support services for infants and toddlers, birth to three years of age, with developmental delays in communication, social-emotional, fine or gross motor, adaptive skills, and/or cognitive development. Our early learning and pediatric care team offers therapies, education, and family-centered support that helps children build the skills they need to thriveat home, in school, and in the broader community. We are continuously taking steps to expand our resources to meet the needs of the children and families we serve on Whidbey Island, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands.
