The Minnesota Eye Foundation (MEF) created the STRIDES 4 SIGHT 5K WALK/RUN AND KIDS FUN RUN in 2014 to increase awareness and funding for The Vision Project, Minnesota Eye Foundation's community outreach program offering eye care services and surgical treatments to patients unable to otherwise afford care.
The event is a volunteer effort led by Minnesota Eye Foundation and Strides 4 Sight committee, a group of volunteers dedicated to making a difference throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.
Since 2014, THIS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER HAS GENERATED OVER $200,000 TO THE VISION PROJECT and to the Foundation's mission of enriching the quality of life of individuals through sight-restoring surgeries.

CLOSEDThis obstacle-type fun run is geared toward youth ages 1-12. Please join in jumping, skipping, hopping and running through some creative & colorful obstacles. Kids' Area Activities will include yard games, face painting and tattoos! Family-friendly DJ music will be playing at the pavilion too. All kids registered before September 1, 2025 will receive a goody bag, participation ribbon, and unisex-sized t-shirt. * Participants who register after date of Sept. 1, 2025, items may be subject to availability. * Processing fees are transaction based and can range between $1.90 - $3.10 per transaction. (Efficiency with registering a group at the same time) * NOTE: Day of Event Registration fee per child increases to $25 per child + processing fee between $1.90 - $2.75 will apply per transaction. -
5K Walk/Run

CLOSEDThe 5K Run and Walk will utilize the lakeside path near Como Park Lakeside Pavilion. Runners will be asked to start ahead of the walkers. All participants registered before September 1, 2025 will receive a unisex sized t-shirt. * Participants who register after Sept. 1, 2025: T-Shirts may be subject to availability. * Processing fees ranging between $1.90 - $3.10 per transaction.(Efficiency with registering a group at the same time) * Day of Event Registration Fee per adult increases to $45 per person + transaction fee between $1.90 - $3.10 will apply.
