Kick off the festivities at 10:00 AM with our littlest participants in three thrilling heats: a 50-yard dash for kids aged 4 and under, a 100-yard dash for ages 5-7, and a 200-yard race for ages 8-10. After the kids' events, join us at 10:30 AM for a scenic 2.5-mile run or leisurely walk along the stunning coastline to Ogunquit Beach and back. This family-friendly event aims to raise $22,222 for Retts Roost, and with your participation, we can make a real difference! Organiser's Description
Open to our Retts Roost families and anyone that loves to run or walk on the beachin costume, even better!
During the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Pride Celebration weekend, on June 7th, Retts Roost is hosting a family-friendly fundraising run/walk on the beach.
We'll kick off the event with the littles at 10am. There will be three heats for kids ages 4 and under (50 yard dash), 5-7 (100 yard dash), 8-10 (200 yard race). Arrive at 9:30 to register and get your kids' bibs.
At 10:30, we'll have everyone else join us on the starting line on the Ogunuquit border (at the end of Moody Beach and start of North Beach). People are encouraged to run like the wind or leisurely walk the 2.5 mile route to Ogunquit Beach and back.
THIS IS ONE OF RETT'S ROOST'S ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS.
With your help, we hope to raise $22,222! When you register yourself, your family, or a friend group, you will automatically have a customizable fundraising site created. There will be some very exciting prizes for our top fundraisers--including a 3-night stay in Ogunquit! If 100 participating families raise just $222 for their run, we will be able to reach our fundraising goal.
