Plus, don’t miss the chance to participate in the fun End-of-Summer Time Trial featuring post-race treats! For younger athletes in elementary school (grades 3-5), a special session runs from July 15 to July 31. Welcome to the Tennessee Endurance Summer Cross Country Program!

Are you ready to hit the ground running this fall? The Tennessee Endurance Summer Cross Country Base Building Program is designed to help student-athletes prepare for a highly successful fall season.

Whether you are a dedicated cross country runner chasing a new personal record, or a fall soccer player looking to build unstoppable stamina before your season begins, this program will help you build the fitness and confidence you need to succeed.

A Day in the Life: Our Average Practice

We maximize our mornings to beat the heat and get the most out of every athlete. While workouts will vary, a typical summer practice looks like this:

7:30 AM 7:45 AM: Dynamic range of motion and pre-run strength work.

7:45 AM 8:00 AM: "Topic of the Day" discussion and personalized coaching tips.

8:00 AM 8:40 AM: The Daily Run! (Duration ranges from 30 to 40 minutes depending on each athlete's current fitness level).

8:40 AM 8:50 AM: Post-run turnover (speed) work and targeted strength training.

8:50 AM 9:00 AM: Recovery focus with foam rolling and deep stretching.

At the start of the summer, our primary focus is base building. We safely and gradually establish your aerobic foundation. As the summer progresses and fitness improves, we will:



Slowly advance our weekly mileage.

Introduce key cross country endurance-builder workouts.

Cap off our weeks with challenging and rewarding Long Run Fridays.

More Than Just Running

Building a great athlete goes beyond logging miles. Throughout the summer program, we will host 1-on-1 Goal Setting Sessions with each athlete to map out their vision for the fall.

Additionally, we invite key influential speakers from our local community to come out and talk to the team about a variety of valuable topics, helping our runners grow as athletes, students, and leaders.

Middle School & High School (Grades 6-12): Program starts June 15th and runs through July 31st.
Elementary School (Grades 3-5): Program starts July 15th and runs through July 31st.

Practice Times:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 7:30 AM 9:00 AM. (Evening options may be added based on demand).
