Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 14th Annual Life's Good in LG 5k Race and Fun Run on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in picturesque Leonardtown, St. Marys! This exciting event is the perfect way to kick off your Memorial Day Weekend while supporting a great cause. Over the past 13 years, the race has raised more than $41,000 for the local volunteer fire department, helping them acquire essential equipment for fire-fighting efforts in the area.
The USAT&F certified 5K course winds through the charming Leonard's Grant neighborhood and is chip-timed for accurate results. Participants can compete for medals in a variety of age categories, including Overall, 13 & Under, 14-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, and 61+. Don’t forget about the Kids' Fun Run, featuring distances of 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile, which kicks off at 8:00 AM and draws around 80 enthusiastic young runners each year. Registration for the 5K is just $40, and all registrants receive a free Fun Run entry for their kids

Include a 5K in your Memorial Day Weekend plans! Over the last 13 years we have donated over $41,000.00 to our local volunteer fire department. Our event has enabled the LVFD to purchase new equipment used for fighting fires throughout our county.
Our 5K course loops through the beautiful neighborhood of Leonard's Grant and is USAT&F certified and chip-timed. Our Fun Run course draws about 80 little runners each year to kick off the morning's festivities.
5K medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the following age categories: Overall, 13 & Under, 14-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61+
Register here for $40. Register by 5/13/26 to guarantee your shirt size; there will be no shirt exchanges. Although you can also register at Walk-in Registration the day before the race, you will not be guaranteed your preferred shirt size at that time.
THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION but you will be able to pick up your packet on race day if you have already registered online.

Friday, May 22th, 4:00-6 Walk-in registration for the 5K ($40) and for the Kids' Fun Run ($5) (cash, check, or visa/mastercard). Also, packet pick-up for the 5K. Held in the Leonard's Grant Clubhouse in the center of the subdivision. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION Saturday, May 23th, 7:30-8 Packet Pick-up for 5K runners already registered. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION FOR THE 5K OR FOR THE KIDS' FUN RUN. Saturday, May 23th, 8 National Anthem and Kids' Fun Run, immediately followed by the 5K. THE 5K BEGINS IMMEDIATELY UPON COMPLETION OF THE KIDS' FUN RUN. Saturday, May 23th, 9 Awards
