SOLO RUN - $60 REGISTRATION FEE
TEAM RELAY - $50 REGISTRATION FEE (PER RUNNER UP TO 4 RUNNERS)
DESCRIPTION:
JUST OVER 129 YEARS AGO AT A FARM HOUSE SITUATED ON THE CURRENT PROPERTY OF MALABAR FARM STATE PARK, 24-YEAR-OLD CEELY ROSE POISONED HER MOTHER, FATHER, AND BROTHER WITH ARSENIC. ALL THREE PERISHED. AFTER SHE CONFESSED TO THE MURDERS, SHE WAS SENT AWAY TO THE TOLEDO ASYLUM AND THEN LATER MOVED TO THE LIMA STATE HOSPITAL FOR THE CRIMINALLY INSANE. THERE SHE LIVED HER FINAL DAYS UNTIL AGE 61. CEELY WAS BURIED ON THE HOSPITAL GROUNDS, BUT MANY SAY HER GHOST REMAINS AT MALABAR FARM.
ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH TO RUN 12 HOURS PAST CEELYS HOME AND THROUGH PORTIONS OF MALABAR FARM? DONT LET THE PEACEFULNESS OF THE SETTING DISTRACT YOU..CEELY COULD BE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!
THE COURSE IS APPROXIMATELY 2.25 MILES OF PAVEMENT, GRAVEL, AND GRASS. YOU WILL HAVE 12 HOURS TO COMPLETE AS MANY LAPS AS YOU CAN. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO RUN, BUT YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SEE THE BEAUTY IN THE DARK SO BRING HEADLAMPS. AS PORTIONS OF THE RACE ARE ON THE ROAD, YOU WILL ALSO NEED REFLECTIVE/FIBER GEAR.
NEW THIS YEAR: A TEAM RELAY OPTION, SO BRING UP TO 3 OF YOUR FRIENDS (OR ENEMIES) AND SHARE IN THE FUN/PAIN!
