The Centaur 5K Run/Walk is a community-centered event bringing together runners, walkers, families, and supporters for a morning of fitness, unity, and service. Participants from across the region are invited to lace up their shoes and take part in a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience designed for all ages and fitness levels.

In our very first event, this years Centaur 5K will support community health initiatives through the DAO Impact Foundation, Inc., and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. , helping promote wellness, active lifestyles, and access to health-focused resources within the communities we serve. Every step taken contributes to healthier outcomes and stronger neighborhoods.

The mission of the Centaur 5K is to encourage physical activity, celebrate community engagement, and create an inclusive event where participants can challenge themselves while giving back. Whether youre a competitive runner or a casual walker, the course offers a unique and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The event will include:

A 5K Run/Walk
A Kids Fun Run following the 5K
High energy and a celebratory race atmosphere
All runners will receive a custom finisher medal
The Centaur 5K will be held outdoors, with registration opening at 9:00 AM, the 5K starting promptly at 10:00 AM, and the Kids Fun Run beginning after the conclusion of the main race.

Dog- and stroller-friendly, the Centaur 5K Run/Walk welcomes the entire family to join us for a morning focused on movement, connection, and community impact.
