ABOUT THE EVENT:
Sasquatch, AKA Bigfoot or whatever you want to call him, just made his grand appearance at Bone Valley ATV Park AGAIN. He left for the summer, but it looks like he has returned to Florida for the winter months. Sasquatch is known for being a bit camera-shy, but you might catch him strolling through Bone Valley ATV Park on days ending in y. So if you happen to cross paths with our furry friend, go on with your day and make sure to snap some photos. Its not every day you get to hangout with a legend.
Trail runners are invited to embark on a wild quest to track down Sasquatch at Polk County Parks & Recreations Hunt for Sasquatch 10K, 5K, 1 mile fun run at Bone Valley ATV Park. This outdoor trail adventure will lead you through the trails of Bone Valley complete with uneven terrain, small hills and a chance to spot the elusive Sasquatch

Registered runners will receive a t-shirt and swag bag. Shirts are guaranteed to those who pre-register before Dec. 31, 2024. After that, the shirts will be available on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Please note that some sizes will not be available close to or on race day.
Each event will end with an awards ceremony for various age groups and fun interactive activities.
We are only offering day of race packet pickups. Please follow Polk County Parks & Recreations Facebook Page @PolkCoFLParksAndRec and your emails once registered for any race updates. (This page will also be updated periodically.)

Sasquatch Revenge Challenge is the 10k and 5k courses. These are challenging, hilly, uneven terrain courses! No color during the 10k event, but there will be blasts of color throughout the 5k course! Due to terrain, you must be able to maintain an 18 min per mile pace to be back at the finish line in time to start the 5k portion of the challenge. -

Sasquatch Trifecta Challenge is all three events 10k, 5k and 1 mile. These are challenging, hilly, uneven terrain courses! No color during the 10k event but there will be blasts of color throughout the 5k and 1 mile courses! Due to terrain, you must be able to maintain an 18 min per mile pace to be back at the finish line in time to start the 5k portion of the challenge and again for the 5k to make it back to the start of the 1 mile.
