Join us for the SALT AND SOUND 10K, 5K AND 1-MILE FUN-RUN, at the Currituck County RURAL CENTER on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH. Experience the area's waterfowl, wetland and the neighboring horses.
This unique race will bring you along water thoroughfares, on boardwalks and straightaways to the edge of the Currituck Sound.
The courses are scenic but not the fastest because you will be on multiple surfaces.
Each event will be well marked with chip timing, water stations and the parks permanent restrooms. Best of all, the rear RACE MARSHALS WILL BE ON HORSEBACK! They are there to help you hoof it!
Welcome RUNNERS AND WALKERS! We recommend that strollers and dogs (leash required) start at the back.

This course will bring you around the edge of the Currituck Sound, over a boardwalk and around ponds and horse corrals. You will go out to a secondary street and follow it down to the waterfront. Then back the same route. -
