Join us for the 4th Annual Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the beautiful Morris Hill Recreation Center in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel. This uplifting event, organized by the Samuel Lomax Foundation, Inc. and the Cedar Morris Hill Community, invites everyone to participate in a meaningful cause dedicated to raising awareness and funds to combat cancer. Whether you are a casual walker or a seasoned runner, this 5K is the perfect opportunity to show your support for cancer fighters and survivors.
The race kicks off at 10:30 AM, with early-bird registration available for just $25 until August 20th, which includes a race t-shirt and participant medal. Late registration will still be open until race day but will not include the t-shirt or medal. If you're unable to join us in person, consider making a donation to help support local charitable organizations dedicated to cancer prevention. Together, let’s make a difference in the fight against cancer while enjoying a fun-filled day in our community!

The Samuel Lomax Foundation, Inc. together with the Cedar Morris Hill Community invite you to join our 5th Annual Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk in honor of (?????)
This is our continued effort in spreading awareness and raising money in support of a worthy cause. There are over 100 types of cancer and at least one-third of cancer diagnoses are preventable through healthy lifestyle changes. Whether you are a casual runner/walker, competitive runner, cancer fighter, cancer survivor or simply want to support the cause, your participation in this event and a portion of the proceeds will help benefit local charitable organizations and spread the word about cancer prevention.

COST: Early-bird registration $25 (includes race t-shirt and participant medal) open until 11:59PM on August 20th | $25 late registration (DOES NOT include race t-shirt or participant medal) starts August 17th and open until 8:00AM, the morning of the race.
DONATION: If you're unable to participate in the event, but would like to contribute towards the cause, feel free to make a donation by clicking the "Donate" button.
