Join us for the 13th Annual Theresa Borgia 5K Run/Walk and Children's Fun Run on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the scenic Lackawanna Heritage Trail in Scranton, Lackawanna. Kicking off at 9:30 AM, this vibrant event honors Theresa Borgia, a dedicated advocate for breast cancer awareness and a beloved member of the community. Participants can choose to take part in the 5K Run/Walk or let the little ones enjoy the Children's Fun Run at 9:00 AM, which is free for kids aged 12 and under and includes a participant medal.
With a registration fee of just $30 for the 5K, the first 100 registrants will snag a trendy T-shirt to commemorate the experience. Don’t miss your chance to contribute to a great cause, as proceeds will benefit the Chronic Disease and Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA at the JCC. Be sure to register online by May 22 at 6:00 PM, and arrive early for on-site registration from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM. Together, let’s make strides toward a healthier future!

The 13th Annual Theresa Borgia 5K Run/Walk & Children's Fun Run will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025, 9:30am at the Lackawanna Heritage Trail on Olive Street. Theresa Borgia was a long-time member of the JCC of Scranton. She was a tireless advocate for breast cancer awareness and a well-known volunteer for the annual Komen Race for the Cure. Her initial diagnosis was in 1997, and after years in remission she was back in treatment in 2006. In November of 2010, Theresa lost her thirteen-year fight with breast cancer. Benefits the Chronic Disease and Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA at the JCC.
