Get ready for an exhilarating day of cycling at the Tour De Charleston on Saturday, September 27th, 2025! This exciting event takes place in the picturesque town of Charleston, Coles, and offers three fantastic race routes for cyclists of all levels: 12.5 miles, 25 miles, and a challenging 50 miles. Each route showcases the scenic beauty of Charleston and the surrounding central Illinois countryside, making it a perfect day out for families and cycling enthusiasts alike!
Participants will enjoy a timed ride experience, with awards for both male and female overall winners in each race, as well as first and second place honors across various age divisions. Plus, every cyclist will receive a timing chip and a special Tour de Charleston towel! Enjoy food and water stations along the route, and join the festive atmosphere at Mike & Stan's from 11 AM to 2 PM, featuring food trucks and live music from local artist ABSENT GROUND. Don’t miss this chance to pedal through beautiful landscapes while enjoying a fun-filled community celebration!

Organiser's Description
Family Ride.
3 race routes: 12.5 miles, 25 miles, and 50 miles
Timed Rides Overall winner in each race; there will be a male and female plus first and second place awards for all age divisions
Scenic routes throughout Charleston and the surrounding central Illinois countryside
Timing chips, and Tour de Charleston towel for all participants.
Food and water stations along race route
No gasoline-powered motorized bikes are allowed.
Battery assisted electric bikes known as E-Bikes are allowed. E-Bike participants are ineligible for medals.
Festival at Mike & Stans 11am-2pm
Food Truck starting at 11am
Music Live band: The Chamber Presents Local Artist ABSENT GROUND, in outdoor space 11:30 am-1:30 pm (weather permitting)
Refunds will be considered but not promised up until one week before the race.
