Join us for an unforgettable night of endurance running at Arkansas Bend Park on Lake Travis. Starting at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, runners will face the challenge of completing a 4.17-mile loop every hour, on the hour, until only one runner remains. The event continues until 7:00 AM Saturday morning or until the last runner stands victorious.

This unique format combines the mental challenge of running through the night with the physical demands of multiple loops on trail terrain. The course winds through wooded trails at Arkansas Bend Park. While the nearly full moon will cast its glow through the trees, the wooded course demands reliable lighting and careful attention to footing.

Each runner must complete the full loop within 60 minutes and be ready to start again at the top of each hour. Miss a start time or fail to complete a loop within the hour, and your night ends. The last runner to complete a full loop within the time limit claims the title of Last Runner Standing.

This event emphasizes self-sufficiency and determination. A simple self-service water station will be available at the start/finish area, but runners are responsible for their own nutrition and hydration between loops. No pacers, no crew, no outside assistance - just you, the trail, and the night.

Required gear includes a primary headlamp or light source (300+ lumens recommended), backup light, extra batteries, cell phone, water bottle/hydration system, emergency whistle, and weather-appropriate clothing. This isn't just about endurance - it's about being prepared for the challenges of night trail running.

The event hub at Arkansas Bend Park (16900 Cherry Ln, Lago Vista, TX 78645) opens at 5:30 PM, with mandatory check-in between 6:00-6:45 PM. A pre-race briefing at 6:45 PM will cover safety protocols and course details before the first loop begins at 7:00 PM sharp.

While awards are simple - a super-sized ash juniper cookie and the honor of being the Last Runner Standing - the real reward comes from pushing your limits under the Texas night sky.

The event runs rain or shine, though the race director reserves the right to modify or cancel the event in case of severe weather. No refunds, transfers, or deferrals are available. Camping is available on a first come first served basis and free parking is provided in the main Arkansas Bend Park lot.

Ready to test yourself against the night? Join us for a unique endurance experience where every hour presents a new challenge and only one runner can be left standing.
