Get ready to Zoom-Zoom your way to a spooky good time! The Zoomers Southwest Florida Running & Triathlon Club is thrilled to announce the annual Trick or Trot 5K Trail Run/1 Mile Trail Walk. Thanks to our title sponsor, Mazda of Port Charlotte, we can make this a fun and memorable race-day experience!
Join fellow ghouls and goblins for a fun-filled, Witch and Zombie-themed 5K trail run or 1-mile Zombie walk through the beautiful Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park. Our smooth mixed-surface trail features mostly dirt and gravel, perfect for runners and walkers of all levels.
* 5K runners receive a race shirt, bib, and an awesome finisher medal with a sliding character on the medal!
* 1-mile walkers receive a shirt and a bib.
* After crossing the finish line, enjoy post-race food and refreshments for all ages.
* Channel your inner zombie, witch, or hero! Costumes are encouraged, and there will be awards for the best costume.
* This event is perfect for the whole family! Kids aged 1-14 can join in on the fun for a special rate.

Compete to win Male and Female Overall, Youth, Masters (40+), Grandmaster (50+), Senior Grandmaster (60+), and Veterans (70+), and the top 3 Male/Female in each age group. 0-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+. 5k participants will receive a finisher medal.

[Jevin Meza Zoomers Youth Scholarship Award Presentation with Mazda of Port Charlotte]
2026 ZOOMER SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT, JEVIN MEZA
Jevin Meza is a student-athlete and co-captain of his high school cross-country and track teams, where he has earned multiple varsity honors and a 5K personal record of 16:40. He is pursuing an accelerated path toward a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with a concentration in rocket propulsion at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach). Through dual enrollment, Jevin has already completed significant college credits ahead of schedule. Known for his leadership both on and off the track, he mentors younger athletes and has volunteered at many Zoomers events from Trick or Trot to Kids Summer Run Series. Jevin is receiving the Zoomers Scholarship Award.
2026 Gail Marinari Award, Ava Fulford
Ava Fulford is a four-year Zoomers member and captain of her high school girls' cross-country team, where she earned a longevity award for four-plus years of participation and an MVP award in track her freshman year including helping launch her school's first-ever track program. Despite battling injuries in her final two seasons, she continued to lead and mentor younger teammates with dedication and heart. In the fall, she will attend Florida Gulf Coast University to study exercise science, with a goal of becoming a physical or occupational therapist. Ava is receiving the Zoomers Gail Marinari award.
