Get ready for an exciting day of running at the 33rd Annual Underground Railroad 5K, taking place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in beautiful Princeton, Bureau County! This spirited event kicks off bright and early with registration and packet pick-up starting at 7:00 AM. The Kiddie Fun Run will delight young participants at 8:00 AM, followed by the main 5K race at 8:30 AM on a certified course (IL25042NM) that begins and ends at the Bureau County Metro Center.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event is perfect for everyone! With an entry fee of just $25 for early registrants and a chance to snag a free T-shirt for all pre-registered participants, the Underground Railroad 5K is not to be missed. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three runners in various age divisions.
