Participants can choose to take on a 5-mile route to Publix Super Market at Shoppes East San Marco or challenge themselves with the full 9-mile journey to the vibrant Riverside Arts Market. Plus, to make your experience even easier, an UBER code will be provided for a convenient ride back. Join us in this meaningful cause and help create a brighter future for survivors and their families!

Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

Join us for a 5-mile walk to Publix Super Market at Shoppes East San Marco (2039 Hendricks Ave Ste 325 Ste 325, Jacksonville, FL 32207) with the opportunity to stop or continue walking our full 9-mile route to the Riverside Arts Market (715 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32204).
An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back from the walk.

We'll start registration at the Women's Center of Jacksonville at 8:30 AM on Saturday, April 18th, and begin to walk at 9:30 AM. Our first walk section is 5 miles, and we'll take a short water break at Publix Super Market at Shoppes East San Marco (2039 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32207). Those who wish to finish the walk will continue walking Riverside Arts Market (715 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32204 - another 4 miles - where we'll have our final celebration. All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration. Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Free ride share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. Please make sure to have the Uber app downloaded to your phone prior to your arrival.
