Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

Join us for a 5-mile walk to Publix Super Market at Trailwinds Village (5810 Seven Mile Dr Wildwood, FL 34785) with the opportunity to stop or continue walking our full 9-mile route to Publix Super Market at Colony Plaza (327 Colony Blvd, The Villages, FL 32162)!
An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back from the walk.

We'll start registration at AVIV Clinics at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15th, and begin to walk at 10:00 AM. Our first walk section is 5 miles, and we'll take a short water break at the Publix Super Market at Trailwinds Village (5810 Seven Mile Dr, Wildwood, FL 34785). Those who wish to finish the walk will continue walking to Publix Super Market at Colony Plaza (327 Colony Blvd The Villages, FL 32162) - another 4 miles - where we'll have our final celebration! All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration. Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Free ride share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. Please make sure to have the Uber app downloaded to your phone prior to your arrival.
