We are back for another great year! We hope you will join us to kick off your fall event calendar. This race will benefit The Literacy Project of North Idaho, an organization helping those in our community to improve their literacy and/or English language skills. We are a volunteer-driven 501c3 nonprofit, and 100% of these proceeds are used to support our program and our learners.

Our 5k, Kids Dash, and community event will entail a morning of activities for the whole family. In addition to our running/walking event, we will hold our annual book sale or swap. Bring in a book to swap for one or buy another for $1. We will have a variety of family activities even if you or your family chooses not to enjoy the course!

5k Walk / Run family event to support The Literacy Project of North Idaho! The race will, once again, start in the Coeur d'Alene City Park, and travel along the Centennial Trail toward Post Falls. Come of out for a fully family morning of fun!

About Us: One in five adults nationwide cannot read a newspaper, a job application, or a prescription bottle. This is a shocking statistic for communities around our country, and Idaho is no exception. Adults with low literacy skills are parents, neighbors, employees, and friends. This statistic tells us that each of us is likely to know someone who cannot read or write. Our mission is to change that. Through The Literacy Project of North Idaho, we are creating programs and resources to help adults achieve their literacy goals.

Course: The course is an out-and-back loop on the Centennial trail. Our course starts in City Park in Coeur d'Alene and will continue along the Idaho Centennial Trail passing one aid station to turn around just under the 95 bridge to head back to the festivities at the park.

We will also hold the Kids Dash for kids 12 and under. This course will be a fun loop around the park!

Kids 6 and under participate in any event FREE!

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for our 5k and medals for our Kids Dash!
