The Waukee Freedom 5K is a community-wide 4th of July event. All races start and finish at Lutheran Church of Hope Waukee.
This is the 43rd annual event and the only fundraiser for Troop 178. Programs within Scouting America emphasize learning, personal growth, respect, andmost importantlyservice to others. Proceeds from this event help Scouts reach their Scouting goals and support their service to the people of Waukee and surrounding communities. Troop 178 is proud to be more than 30 Scouts strong this year.
If you registered after the June 22 t-shirt deadline, a commemorative race t-shirt will not be available for pickup on race day. However, you can still order one by stopping by the T-Shirt table on race morning. A second order will be placed after the event, and shirts will be available for pickup several weeks later. Details on pickup will be shared once the shirts arrive.
