Schools can earn a dress-down day by raising $500 or more, and the top fundraiser will receive a special prize! Additionally, cash prizes await the top male and female runners in the 5K, along with thrilling giveaways for participants. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit Warrior Canine Connection, which trains service dogs for veterans in need, making this event not only a great way to get active but also to give back. Join us for a fun, family-friendly race thats open to ALL AGES and welcomes both the WESTMINSTER COMMUNITY AND THE GREATER ANNANDALE COMMUNITY! With a FUN RUN FOR OUR YOUNGEST GRIFFINS, a 1K RACE, and a 5K RACE, theres something for everyone.
This years race supports our DREAM TO REALITY ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN, with a goal of $25,000. Every grade that raises $500 OR MORE will earn a DRESS-DOWN DAY, and the STUDENT WHO RAISES THE MOST MONEY will win a special prize! Plus, enjoy CASH PRIZES FOR THE TOP MALE AND FEMALE 5K RUNNERS and other exciting giveaways.
In honor of VETERANS DAY, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Warrior Canine Connection [https://warriorcanineconnection.org/]. Warrior Canine Connection enlists recovering Veterans to train service dogs for fellow Veterans through its groundbreaking Mission-Based Trauma Recovery modelfostering healing, community, and renewed purposewhile providing critically needed support at no cost to the recipients, making donations essential to sustaining this transformative work.
