This vibrant event supports Young Life in Rockbridge County and invites participants of all ages and skill levels to join in the festivities. Enjoy a picturesque twilight race starting at the VA Horse Center Hoofbeats Barn, where you can choose from three fantastic race distances: a 1-mile Fun Run for kids 11 and under, a 2.5K, or the competitive 5K.
Not only will you be part of a great cause, but you'll also have the chance to win prizes for the top three male and female finishers in the 5K! After the race, refuel with delicious offerings from on-site food trucks. Plus, every registrant will receive a complimentary cotton t-shirt—just be sure to sign up by September 9th to guarantee your size. Join us for a memorable day of community spirit, outdoor adventure, and family-friendly fun!

Come on out and join us for the THIRD ANNUAL YL ROCO 5K & FUN RUN ON SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2026 in support of Young Life in Rockbridge County! REGISTRATION IS FREE FOR ALL RACES! We are planning to have a beautiful twilight race at the VA Horse Center Hoofbeats Barn. Whether you're an olympic hopeful, a jogger, or walk the whole time we would love to have you out with us. The route will go from the Hoofbeats Barn through the beautiful VA Horse Center woods and property. We will have food trucks on site for you to purchase food after the race.
This year we are offering a kids 1 MILE FUN RUN (11 & UNDER), a 2.5K, and a 5K.
WE WILL HAVE PRIZES FOR THE TOP 3 MALE AND TOP 3 FEMALE FINISHERS OF THE 5K!
SIGNING UP YOU WILL RECEIVE A FREE COTTON T-SHIRT. _We can not guarantee we will have your size shirt if you register after September 9th._
