Every journey requires momentum.

The First Push is the second event in the Zero Dark Thirty Run Series a progressive program designed to take participants from their first mile all the way to a full marathon.

The 5K represents a powerful milestone. Its where confidence starts to build, consistency takes shape, and participants begin to see what theyre capable of.

This event is run or walk friendly and designed to be welcoming to all ability levels. Whether youre continuing from the 1 Mile or stepping up for the first time, this race is about forward progress.

All proceeds benefit the Zero Dark Thirty Foundation, a veteran-led nonprofit supporting veterans through movement, mentorship, and community.

    This is a run/walk event. Walking is welcome and encouraged. The 1 Mile Run/Walk is the starting point of the Zero Dark Thirty Run Series program. It is intentionally designed to be approachable, inclusive, and low pressure. Participants may run, jog, walk, or combine all three. This event is about beginning not speed. WALKERS ARE WELCOME Walking the mile is fully acceptable and encouraged Walkers receive the same finisher recognition as runners There are no cutoff times or pace requirements WHO SHOULD REGISTER Walkers and first-time participants Anyone returning to movement after time away Veterans and first responders Families and friends If you can walk a mile, you can do this event. COURSE INFORMATION Clearly marked and easy-to-follow course Volunteer support along the route Designed to be approachable and welcoming STROLLERS & PETS Strollers are welcome (please line up toward the back at the start) Pets are not permitted on the course for safety reasons BENEFITING All proceeds from this event benefit the Zero Dark Thirty Foundation, supporting veterans through movement, mentorship, and community.
