The Starting Line is the opening event of the Zero Dark Thirty Run Series, a progressive experience designed to take participants from their first mile to a full marathon over the course of the season.
This event is intentionally beginner-friendly. You can run, jog, walk, or mix all three. Whether this is your very first race or your first step back in awhile, this event is about showing up not speed or finish times.
All proceeds benefit the Zero Dark Thirty Foundation, a veteran-led nonprofit focused on rebuilding purpose, resilience, and community through movement and connection.

It is intentionally designed to be approachable, inclusive, and low pressure. Participants may run, jog, walk, or combine all three. This event is about beginning not speed. COUNTS TOWARD THE SERIES PROGRAM Completion of the 1 Mile Run/Walk counts toward the Zero Dark Thirty Run Series program for participants following the full season path. Whether you run or walk, finishing this event is an important first step in the journey.
