The average finishing time for a half in the US is around 1:55 with more seasoned runners often pushing for 1 hour 30 minutes or less. How long does it take to train for a half marathon?

Half marathons count as the shortest ‘long-distance’ run, so training thoroughly is certainly advised before you arrive on race day. It is really important to build slowly to avoid injury and we’d recommend finding an easy-to-follow training plan to keep you on track.
