The mountain bike race challenges riders to complete as many laps as possible on a scenic 7-8 mile course within 12 hours, with options for solo racers or teams of 2 or 4. Proceeds from the event support the Clinch Valley Trail Alliance's Dirt Lab, a bike skills park for riders to test and improve their abilities. On Sunday, the HOT Trot trail running race offers a fun one-lap course for all levels of runners, hikers, and even furry friends. Organiser's Description
On Saturday, October 5th, the 12 Hours of the Hill of Truth mountain bike race kicks off at 9 a.m. and ends at 9 p.m. This is your opportunity to see how many laps of the 7-8 mile course you can complete in 12 hours. Some racers race the entire 12 hours, while some like to race until lunch time then call it a day, some race solo and some gather friends and compete as a two or four person team. It's completely up to you. Any way you decide to participate, it will be a challenge! This festival is the main fundraising event for the Clinch Valley Trail Alliance [http://www.clinchvalleytrailalliance.org]and all proceeds from the event will go towards improvements and new skills features at the Dirt Lab, our bike skills park that is an actual dirt lab offering users the opportunity to work with us to create and built unique features to test and grow rider skills.
Sunday, October 6th at 9 a.m. the HOT Trot trail running race takes place on the same course as the MTB race and racers will complete one lap. Come run, hike or walk the dog!

Sport Team of 4: At least half of the team members must be Sport Class racers, no expert/elite/pro racers. Co-ed.
Recreational Team of 4: those wishing to participate at a beginner level, no sport, expert/elite/pro racers. Co-ed.
Women Team of 4: All female team members, any skill level.
Masters (45+) Team of 4: All racers 45 years of age or older. Co-ed.
U18 Team of 4: All racers must be under 18. Co-ed.
Duo: Team of two riders, any skill level. Co-ed.
Solo Men: any skill level, any age.
