Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 16th Annual Red Devil 5K on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, in beautiful West Grove, Chester! This exciting event kicks off at 8:30 AM at Avon Grove Middle School and promises to be a fun, family-friendly experience that supports the Avon Grove High School Cross Country teams. Participants can choose between the main 5K race, which features a rolling, 3-loop cross-country course primarily on grass and a finish on the track, or join in the newly introduced 1 Mile Kids Fun Run/Walk.
With chip timing provided by 2L Race Services, runners of all levels—whether you're sprinting for a personal best or enjoying a leisurely stroll—are welcome to join the fun. Registration is just $25 for pre-registration and $30 on race day, and all participants will receive a race t-shirt while supplies last. Stick around after the race to celebrate with post-race refreshments and enjoy the Avon Grove Homecoming Parade and festivities, making it a perfect day to connect with the community. Lace up and be part of a fun, family-friendly event to support the Avon Grove High School Cross Country teams! Whether you run, jog, or walk, this is a community race you wont want to miss.
Course Details:
A rolling, 3-loop cross-country course on mostly grass, with a bit of pavement and a finish on the track. Its the same course used by the AGHS Cross Country team well-marked, marshaled, and chip-timed by 2L Race Services!
Registration:

Top Overall Male & Female
Top 3 Male & Female in 10-year age groups
(Note: Avon Grove XC team members are ineligible for awards.)

Whether you are sprinting for a personal record or enjoying a morning stroll, this event is built for everyone. No more waiting around at a distant finish line! Our specially designed, loop-style course is incredibly spectator-friendly. Family and friends will have prime viewing spots to cheer, wave signs, and snap the perfect action shot as participants pass by multiple times.
Medals and Running Headbands will be given!
Stick Around After the Race:
Join us for post-race refreshments along with the Avon Grove Homecoming Parade & Festivities a perfect way to keep the celebration going and feel the energy of the AG community.
Why Your Support Matters:
Funds raised help offset costs and enhance the experience for student-athletes in the cross-country and running programs. Participation in high school sports fosters healthy habits, boosts self-confidence and leadership skills, and is linked to higher academic achievement.
Last year, we had over 300 registered runners and more than 30 incredible sponsors lets make this year even bigger!
