Join us for the 2025 Geo Foundation 3rd Annual 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, in beautiful Bloomfield, Essex! This exciting event promises a day filled with camaraderie, movement, and a strong sense of community. The festivities kick off bright and early at 8 AM with registration, followed by a welcoming ceremony at 8:50 AM, and the race starts at 9 AM.
Participants can choose between a thrilling 5K run or a leisurely 1-mile walk, with runners completing three laps around a certified course while walkers enjoy one lap. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in various age categories, as well as special recognition for all participants aged 10 and under. Enjoy delicious food and refreshments available at both the start and finish lines while supporting a meaningful cause. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Geo Foundation, which provides scholarships and assistance to families affected by youth cancer. Come out, get active, and make a difference in the lives of those in need!

8am Registration. 8:50am Welcome Ceremony. 9am Race Start.
Closing Ceremony at around 9:45am.
This event will be officially timed. Although we are not yet a USATF sanctioned event, we use a USATF certified course map. The map is roughly three laps around the park. Walkers will do one lap, runners will do all three.

We will have runners start their race first, followed by walkers. You have a choice to not be timed while registering, if you'd prefer to not be timed.

The Geo Foundation honors George "Geo" Batikha and the many youth and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. All proceeds will go towards our two programs:
* Community Fund: Scholarships awarded to promising youth who champion our cause
* Family Assistance Fund: Direct grants provided to families who have a child going through cancer. Any funds not donated by the end of the year are donated to a charity focused on supporting families impacted by youth cancer. Currently that non profit is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
