Organiser's Description
1 MILE - 8:00 AM // 5K - 8:30 AM REGISTRATION INCLUDES A POST-RACE PANCAKE BREAKFAST!
The Shamrock Scurry, one of Tallahassees oldest races, is held at Killearn Methodist Church annually and it all started in 1981. This event, including a popular Pancake Breakfast afterward, has all proceeds going to local charities, youth rehabilitation and feeding programs. It has become one of the largest and most popular 5K and 1 mile races in the Tallahassee area, with around 1,000 regional runners participating. The course begins near the church on Roscommon Drive and features a scenic route of residential areas and the Killearn Country Club golf course. Most of the original course is followed, which many in the running community remember as good but tough, and still features the famed Scurry Hill around mile 2. So come join the fun and come race for a great cause!
