Join us for a FREE 5K race in recognition of the 2026 World Refugee Day! Our celebration will kick off with the 5K, followed by a cultural celebration including performing artists, food samples, community partner informational booths, children's crafts and activities, music, and much more! The entire event is offered 100% free to the community, including free transportation on DART!

There is plenty of free parking available in the parking lot outside of Polk County River Place. The race will start and end at River Place, and all participants will be welcome to join the cultural celebration directly following the race. The entire WRD event will run 10-2pm.
