After the race, everyone is invited to join in the fun at the inaugural post-5K pancake breakfast celebration! Enjoy a delicious spread featuring pancakes, breakfast meats, fruit, and refreshing beverages, perfect for refueling after the big run. Please note that parking will not be available on Hood College campus, but ample parking is provided at Frederick Health Garage. Come out and support these amazing young girls as they take their courageous steps toward achievement and community!

WHAT IS GIRLS ON THE RUN?
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a youth development after school program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. The program is dedicated to inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident while creatively integrating running or movement. Each season concludes with a celebratory 5K run!

Every Girls on the Run 5K highlights the excitement of completing a season and the start of whats next. Join us on 5K day as girls in Frederick County reflect on how far theyve come and step into their next chapter with confidence.
The 2026 'CELEBRATE YOUR START' 5K is a celebration and recognition of girls hard-earned progress and limitless possibilities. Their journeys remind us: every achievement begins with ONE BRAVE DECISION TO START.

POST 5K PANCAKE BREAKFAST CELEBRATION:
Join us for our first ever post 5K breakfast celebration! Inspired by a Hood College tradition, the pancake breakfast will be just what you and your girl need to refuel after crossing the finish line. Menu: Pancake breakfast with breakfast meats, fruit, water and juices.
Current Girls on the Run program participants DO NOT need to purchase a ticket for the breakfast.
