Participants can challenge themselves on the rugged 5K course, renowned as one of the area's toughest cross-country trails, or enjoy a leisurely 5K walk. Young runners will also have a blast in the 0.8-mile Kids' Fun Run, designed to inspire the next generation of athletes.
The event will take place at the scenic North Cross School Cross Country Ridgeline Trail, starting and finishing at the Red Barn Field located at 4254 Colonial Ave, Roanoke, VA 24018. From 2 PM to 5 PM, come out for a day of camaraderie, community spirit, and healthy competition, all while supporting a great cause! WHAT: THIS ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR THE NORTH CROSS SCHOOL PARENTS' ASSOCIATION FEATURES A 5K RUN, 5K WALK, 0.8 KIDS' FUN RUN, AND LOTS OF FUN FOR THE KIDS. THE NCS RIDGELINE 5K COURSE IS ONE OF OUR AREA'S MOST CHALLENGING CROSS-COUNTRY COURSES.

OPENS 01 APRThe Kids Fun Run is an untimed 0.8-mile event. All finishers will get a participation medal but there is no medal ceremony since it is an untimed event. The first three kids to cross the finish line will be recognized. An NCS Cross-Country Runner will lead the kids, while other NCS Cross-Country Runners will stay at the back to ensure no children are left behind. Parents are also welcome to run or walk with their children during the event. -

OPENS 01 APRThe '5K Run' is a competitive cross-country 5K on one of this area's toughest courses, the NCS Ridgeline Course. It is a chip-timed event timed by Run Roanoke. Medals will be presented to the overall top 3 male and female winners, the first male and female masters (40 & older), and to the top three in each age group for both male and females. Age groups will be as follows: 9 & Under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ -
