Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the 21st Annual GFRC Busa Bushwhack Trail Races, taking place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in the beautiful Framingham, Middlesex. This exciting event will kick off at Brophy Elementary School, located at 575 Pleasant Street (Route 30), where participants will gather for a day full of adventure and camaraderie.
Runners can choose from two challenging distances: a 5.3-mile course and a 10-mile course, both set against the stunning backdrop of Callahan State Park. The trails feature a mix of natural terrain, including hills, rocks, and roots, providing an authentic trail running experience. With check-in starting at 7:30 AM and closing at 8:45 AM, be sure to arrive early to secure your spot as registration will close at midnight the day before the race.
All finishers will receive a commemorative gift, and awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as to age group winners ranging from 0-19 to 80+. With indoor festivities before and after the race, along with well-marked courses and water stations, this event promises to

Check-In: Begins at 7:30 AM and closes at 8:45 AM. Registration closes at midnight the prior day. Sorry, no race day registrations.
Course Description: The natural trails (some hills, some rocks, & some roots) of Callahan State Park. The first 0.3 and last 0.6 mile of each race is on the road with a finish back at Brophy Elementary.
Safety Restrictions: Sorry but pets are not allowed on the race course. Headphones and Air Pods are discouraged.
Race Amenities: Indoor pre- and post-race festivities and use of facilities. Well-marked course with mile markers. There is one water stop on the 5.3 mile course and two water stops on the 10 mile course. See maps for locations.
Commemorative Gifts: Busa Bushwhack commemorative gift for all finishers. Past items have included knit hats, running gloves, and glass or ceramic mugs.
Awards: Log Trophy Awards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall male and female finishers. Also, 1st place finisher log trophy awards for male and female age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. (No duplicate age group awards for the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.)
