Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 21st Annual GFRC Busa Bushwhack Trail Races taking place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Framingham, Middlesex! This exciting event invites runners of all levels to tackle the stunning natural trails of Callahan State Park. Participants can choose between a challenging 5.3-mile course or a more demanding 10-mile route, both featuring a mix of hills, rocks, and roots that will test your endurance while rewarding you with breathtaking scenery.
The races will start and finish at the Brophy Elementary School, with check-in opening bright and early at 7:30 AM and closing at 8:45 AM. Don’t forget to register ahead of time, as same-day registrations are not available. Runners can look forward to a well-marked course complete with water stops and a supportive atmosphere, plus indoor festivities to enjoy post-race. Each participant will receive a commemorative blue Busa Bushwhack cooling towel, and top finishers will earn stunning log trophy awards in various age categories. Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and camaraderie in this exhilarating trail running experience!

Please carpool if you can.
Check-In: Begins at 7:30 AM and closes at 8:45 AM. Registration closes at midnight the prior day. Sorry, no race day registrations.
Course Description: The natural trails (some hills, some rocks, & some roots) of Callahan State Park. The first 0.3 and last 0.6 mile of each race is on the road with a finish back at Brophy Elementary.
Safety Restrictions: Sorry but pets are not allowed on the race course. Headphones and Air Pods are discouraged.
Race Amenities: Indoor pre- and post-race festivities and use of facilities. Well-marked course with mile markers. There is one water stop on the 5.3 mile course and two water stops on the 10 mile course. See maps for locations.
Commemorative Gift: RUNNERS WILL RECEIVE A BLUE BUSA BUSHWHACK 16"X32" FRIGITOWEL XTRA COOL COOLING TOWEL
Awards: Log Trophy Awards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall male and female finishers. Also, 1st place finisher log trophy awards for male and female age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. (No duplicate age group awards for the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.)
