Get ready for an exciting day of fitness and fun at the 7th Annual One King Sports 5K & Kids Race on Saturday, May 3, 2025! Taking place in the beautiful Clarksburg, Harrison area, this event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to get active while supporting a great cause. The 5K race will kick off at 9:00 AM, with registration starting at 8:00 AM at the Freedom Shelter. Runners of all ages can participate in the 5K, which features an out-and-back course along the scenic Harrison County Rail Trail.
In addition to the main event, young athletes aged 8 and under can also join in on the fun with a special Kids Race, offering a short sprint near the start/finish line right after the 5K. Each kid will receive a One King patch and a t-shirt upon finishing, celebrating their achievement! With awards for the top finishers, age group trophies, and even competitions for the fastest and largest teams, this event is not to be missed. Proceeds from the race will directly benefit local youth sports programs and scholarships, making every step you take count! Don’t miss out—mark your calendar

One King Sports is a registered 501 (c)(3) organization, established to challenge and change the status quo of organized youth sports. One King Sports is focused on the fundamentals of sports and on the character of those participating.
Proceeds from fundraisers like this race go directly toward providing sports seasons for area youth and give us the ability to provide scholarships to kids that need them.
DATE: May 3, 2025 LOCATION: VA Trail, and Harrison County Rail Trail, Clarksburg, WV TIME: Registration begins at 8:00am. RACE START TIME: 9:00am.
AWARDS: Top 3 overall male and female trophies; Age group trophies for 1st place and medals for 2nd and 3rd place for both male and female
AGE GROUPS: 5K ---> 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
COURSE DESCRIPTION: An out and back course starting at the Freedom Shelter, running to a turnaround on the Harrison County Rail Trail, then back the way you came. Start and Finish are the same spot.
***This course will be well marked and have plenty of volunteers to help guide you along the way.
KID'S RACE DESCRIPTION: We will be offering a kids race near the start/finish line immediately following the 5K. This will be a short sprint for children 8 and under. Participants will receive One King patches upon finishing, as well as a t-shirt with their registration. Cost for this event is $15. _***Please contact us if your child will be participating in both the 5K and kids race and you would like a discount on registering them for both._

ENTRY FEE INFORMATION: $30 through April 30th, 2024. T-shirt deadline is April 6th, 2024. Race Day Registration will be $35.
GIVEAWAYS: All registered runners through April 6th will receive a t-shirt with their order.
