Get ready to embrace the winter chill with the RCRWC Winter Series, kicking off on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Parkersburg, Wood! This exciting series features four low-key races designed to keep your competitive spirit alive during the colder months. Whether you prefer running or walking, you'll have the chance to participate in the Jingle Bell, Icicle, Valentine Classic, and March Hare events. Participants who complete at least three races will receive a cozy hoodie at the final event, the March Hare, making it a perfect incentive to stay active all winter long.
With early registration pricing at just $10 for River City Runners and Walkers Club members and $15 for non-members until December 1st, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss! After the early bird period, the registration fee will increase to $17. Plus, if you're unable to join in person, you can still participate virtually! Just remember to register and contact the race director within one week of completing your chosen race distance. Organiser's Description
First of four low key races to keep your competitive spirit going through the winter months, or more important just to keep you running or walking during the winter no matter what the weather. After the last race ( March Hare ) a hoodie will be given to all who finished at least three of the four races. Participants also have the option of doing the races virtually but must still register for them and contact the race director within 1 week of running/walking the race distance on their own.
Hoodies will be given to all that finish at least three of the four Winter Series races, The Jingle Bell; Icicle ; Valentine Classic; and the March Hare. They will be given out at the March Hare. Should we be forced to go to a Virtual race you must participate in all four of the races.
