Event summary
Both race courses are accurately measured and will be a thrilling experience for everyone involved. Medals will be awarded in seven age groups, with top male and female finishers recognized in each race. Plus, a unique Frank Valvano Award will be presented to the first participant weighing 200 lbs or more in either the 10k or 5k. Don't miss this opportunity to honor the spirit of Dick Daniels, a cherished figure in the running community, as we come together for a day of athletic achievement and celebration. Be sure to register early to secure your t-shirt—extra sizes will be limited on race day!
Organiser's Description
Race day registration is also available but t-shirts not guaranteed. Medals awarded in seven age groups and the top male and female finishers in each race. A special Frank Valvano Award given to the first 200 lb + participant in the 10 k or 5k if no other qualifiers.
Both courses are wheel measured and accurate.

**Dick Daniels was involved in the sport of running, this race, and Lake Carey Day for years. Unfortunately, he passed away last year. We have changed the name of the 5k to honor him.
