Join us for the 15th annual After the PKs 5K Road and 10K Trail Run on Sunday, November 10th, 2024 in Van Buren, Hancock. This exciting event takes place the Sunday after the Ohio High School State Soccer Finals and features both a 5k road race and a challenging 10k trail run through Van Buren State Park. The races start and finish at the Van Buren Sports Complex, with the trail run kicking off at 2PM. This is a true trail run experience, complete with tree roots, mud, and all! Register by October 30th to guarantee a race shirt and support the boys and girls soccer programs at Van Buren High School, including scholarships and team support. Shirt options are available with registration until noon on October 30th, and shirts can also be purchased on the day of the event. Don't miss out on this fun and rewarding race experience!
Organiser's Description
This is the 15th annual After the PKs (penalty kicks). The race takes place each year the Sunday after Ohio High School State Soccer Finals. Both the 5k road and 10k trail race start and finish at the Van Buren Sports Complex. The 5k road race and 10k Trail Run through Van Buren State Park begin at 2PM. This is a TRUE trail run tree roots, mud, and all. Register by OCTOBER 30 to GUARANTEE a shirt!
Event supports and is put on by the boys and girls soccer programs at Van Buren High School including two scholarships and team support.
Shirt Option with registration through noon on October 30. After that, shirts may be purchased day of event.

The trail run is through the rough terrain of a state park trail where you will be sharing the course with plants, trees, and other wildlife - and possibly a horse or two! If it rains, be ready for some fun! -
Kids Fun Run

This event will take place at approximately 3pm on race day. Kids will run a loop around the sportsplex and will receive a foot charm for each 1/2 mile loop completed.
